  • SAFE SYSTEMS OF WORK - Re-evaluation of Schedules and Registers

    The Ministry of Defence Mandated Safe Systems of Work apply to specifically defined criteria for Confined Spaces and Restricted High Places. The legacy from the Property Services Agency (PSA) has been carried through into current schedules and registers.The Defence Estates Specification 005 Issue 3 Tasks 530 and 531 gives an item description of “Masts, Towers, Flagpoles and Statues” which is a hangover from PSA. Defence Estates let Project Aquatrine which removed the bulk of the known Permanent Confined Spaces from the Maintenance Management Organisation Contracts. CLICK HERE FOR MORE

    The UK Ministry of Defence, Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) will cease accrediting training organisations who provide discipline training for the Joint Services Publication (JSP) 375 – Safety manual Volume 3 Safe Systems of Work.     The aim of this Project was to provide a Fit for Purpose, modern, centralised welfare facility for the Community Support Team (CST) at RAF Leuchars. It would be a focal point for welfare support, including social activities, and be accessible to all.
